We are happy to announce we are now offering acupuncture and herbal therapies!
Dr. Meagan S. Smith is our Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist and would love to help your pet feel better through acupuncture treatment. Call our office today to schedule a consult.

Acupuncture Summarized

Acupuncture is the stimulation of body points which results in therapeutic homeostatic effects. Studies have shown that stimulation of acupoints induces the release of beta-endorphin, serotonin and other neurotransmitters. We offer dry needling, aqu-acupuncture and electro-acupuncture. The goal of acupuncture is to restore the flow of Qi and allow homeostasis to return.

Treating Conditions with Acupuncture

Does your pet have chronic pain from arthritis or back injuries? Have seizures? Chronic gastrointestinal disorders? Your pet may benefit from acupuncture! In addition acupuncture can also help with: asthma, cushing's disease, hypothyroidism, renal failure, and degenerative joint disease! Dr. Meagan can help decide what treatment protocol would most benefit your pet.

Herbal Therapy

Acupuncture is frequently combined with Chinese Herbal Medicine. Sometimes they are even used in lieu of acupuncture. Dr. Meagan would put together a treatment plan most suitable for your pet based upon their diagnosis.
